Emily visits Florida with Mainstreet Holidays

I flew from Gatwick airport into Orlando Airport and then 3 nights later I flew from Miami into London Heathrow.

Both our flights were with Virgin Atlantic. We flew premium class on the way out on the 747 aircraft an returned on the brand new Dreamliner...

"You can make Florida as relaxing or as busy as you
like"

As this was my first time to Florida I expected it to be a holiday only about going to the
parks, but Florida has so much more to offer. You can make Florida as relaxing or as busy as you
like. Three of the hotels I visited have amazing pool areas for you to just chill out in the days if you
wanted, but at the same time you're just a short bus ride from the parks if you wanted more of an
active day.

On our first day when we arrived it was night time in Florida so we checked into our hotel which
was the “Cabana Bay”. Once our rooms were sorted we had a couple of games of bowling in the
hotel then had something to eat and a couple of drinks followed by an early night.

The next day we did hotel visits to the “Loews Royal Pacific Resort”, “Sapphire Falls Resort”,
“Portofino Bay Hotel” and the “Cabana Bay Resort”. These were all fantastic properties and all had
something to suit everyone.

We then headed over to “Universal Studios” and “Islands of Adventure” where we spent the rest of
the day and early evening. These parks were AMAZING and the rides were fab. There was
something for all ages in these parks. We had the “Express” tickets which mean you skip the main
cue for the rides which I would highly recommend as this saved us so much time.

In the evening we headed to City Walk where we had a lovely meal followed by watching a
fantastic duet band and some karaoke to end the night.

The next day we spent the day in Vulcano Bay Water Park which was brilliant as there were about 18
waterslides and also a man-made beach - so you could spend all day there if you wanted. In the
late afternoon we headed down the road to one of the big designer outlets for a bit of shopping and
then in the evening we headed down to International Drive for another lovely meal followed by
a couple of drinks in the hotel - then we headed off to bed.

On our final day we checked out of our hotel and drove down to Miami where we did a
spot of shopping in the Fortlauderdale Saw Grass Outlets, and then headed to Miami for our flight
home back to Heathrow.

Handy Tips for First Timers

⭐️ If you are doing the parks I highly recommend to get the Express ticket as this gets you on the
rides so much quicker.

⭐️The shopping is amazing In Florida. It is so much cheaper than at home so make sure you have
plenty of room in your case going out.

⭐️In the evenings there is so much choice for restaurants in City Walk and international drive.

⭐️ If you need a taxi in Florida they use Uber which works out a lot cheaper if you need
a taxi.

⭐️ If you go to Islands of adventure I advise to take a poncho as there are 2 rides that will get you
soaked.
