For those in search of an unconventional experience, experience this alternative party in the deserts of Nevada.

Burning Man is an annual gathering that takes place in the remote terrain of Black Rock City - the event relies not on acts and corporate sponsorship, but the creative and expressive spirit of its participants. Burning Man prides itself as a community and cultural movement founded on the principles of creativity, connectivity, and inclusivity, as well as leaving no traces on the environment. What happens during the gathering is up to you! - participants are given free reign to artistic self expression. The non-profit project features a symbolic ritual of setting fire to an enormous wooden figure or man, typically on the Saturday night of the gathering which was derived from the summer of 1986 when its founders began the ritual as a bonfire tradition. “The man” has come to symbolise corporate evils and corrupt politics amongst burners, who celebrate with cheers as he is consumed by flames.  Burning Man celebrates spontaneity and expression through a collaborative community in a “decommodified” space, transforming remote desert into an extraordinary “temporary city”.
