Takayama Autumn Festival

Why should you go?

The Takayama Festival is still one of the great untouched festivals of the world, with few tourists from outside of Japan yet to discover it. The celebration of the coming of spring and autumn in Takayama is other worldly and gives an insight into both modern Japan and its little known history. For both daytime explorers and night-owls the Takayama Festival is a once in a lifetime experience.
