I I have been working in travel for approx 10 years, 9 of which have been with Regal Travel. I must say that no day is the same when you work in this industry as everybody has different tastes when it comes to their annual holidays that is what makes this job so interesting. I have been very lucky to travel to various destinations whilst I have been with Regal Travel and these range from Crete to Florida. Now that I have been and exampled some of these destinations it makes it easier to sell these destinations as I can give some good advice with regards to resorts and excursions etc etc.

Destinations

Disneyland Paris

I have been to Disneyland Paris for the last 2 years and have loved it. I believe this is a fantastic family holiday and has something for both children and adults alike. I have stayed in the hotel Santa Fe which although is one of the lower graded hotels is ideal for those who dont spend much time in the hotel. The hotel is approximatley a 10 minuate walk away from the park but they also run a free shuttle service back and forth to the parks approximatley every 10 minutes.

I think that they go that extra length here to make your holiday that extra bit special in both the parks and restaurants.

Red Sea Cruise Thomson

I was lucky enough to travel to egypt on board the thomson celebration. This was a fantastic way for me to see what Egypt has to offer. The best thing about this cruise is that you get to see many different areas of Egypt within one holiday perfect if you only like to travel to a destination once. The onboard facilities were fantastic from the staff to the food i could not fault a thing. It changed my perception of cruise I always thought that I would get bored but there was something new to see everyday which was brilliant.

The excursions were plentiful where you can do as much or as little as you want. We went to Jordan and Cairo. My favourite was Jordan There was a lot of walking but was definatly worth it. Many Many years ago there was a massive earthquake that split an area in two. Amongst this area many ancient tombs were found and it was then called Petra the lost city. This area was later to be used as a backdrop to one of the many Indiana Jones films that were to be made. Included in price of the cruise are all of your tips so the only thing that you need to pay extra for are your drinks and excursions so all in all you are getting a fantastic deal when booking this cruise with Thomson. One of the many tips that i would give you would be to not take so much egyptian pounds with you as when we were there they loved you paying in pound sterling so i ended up using sterling and not 1 egyptian pound.

Alcudia Majorca

Myself and my family travelled to Alcudia in majorca in August 2006. We stayed in a very central hotel close to the beach and resort centre. The beaches are fantastic here very clean with plenty of watersports gping on. There are plenty of beach bars where you can get adrink from also. The resort itself has something for everyone there are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. On certain days of the week take a trip to the old town in Alcuida where in amonst an ancient fortress there is an outdoor market selling everything from food to lace.

We decided to do an all day excursion which included a trip to a market, the pearl factory and also the caves of drach. This was worth the money as we got to see so much. The caves are underground where you walk around it has the largest underground lake where they play the piano and violins whilst on boats on the lake.

If you like a quiet holiday then this resort is not for you in the height of the season as it is very very busy. It is very cheap to eat out as there are many many restaurants competing against each other.

Budapest

Budapest is an up and coming city area which has many things to do. The city is split in two with the river danube running through you have the Buda side and then the Pest side with bridges running through so you easily get across. The buda side has an indoor market and also the castle district which is very pretty but can be expensive to eat in this area. Go across the river danube to the Pest side where it is slightly cheaper to eat out. You can book river cruises where you can go up and down the river danube taking in all of the sights even having lunch on it if you would like something a bit more romantic. There is also the famous parliament buildings where you can take a tour around the famous buidlings this can be booked on arrival in Budapest. We travelled in january which was extremly cold but after a few bowls of goulash soup and we were ready to face the elements.

When looking for accommodation I would look at the 4 star hotels which has more facilities and better stnadards we stayed in the Mercure Buda which is loscated at the foot of the castle district in the Buda side of the city.

Fuerteventura

I have just returned from 1 week in Fuerteventura which i really did enjoy. We stayed in the Broncemar Beach Apartments in the resort of Costa Caleta. If you really want a relaxing holiday with good food and beaches then this is the place to go. Costa Caleta is only about 10 – 15 minutes from the airport so even better not having the long transfer times.

The weather was really nice with a breeze across the island. When the sun goes in then this breeze can get cold so make sure you take some long sleeve tops with you. There are plenty of things to do in Fuerteventura you can even island hop to Lanzarote if you want to. There is a really nice market on a Saturday which opens from 9 am until 1pm here you can put your bartering skills to the test.

All in all there is something for everyone here as long as you like it relaxing then this is an ideal place.
