Office: Bridgend 01656 668725I have worked in Regal Travel for ten years starting as a trainee and now have worked my way to being a senior member of staff.
When I first joined I loved the mad party and club holidays like Club 18-30, now with two children and a husband I prefer the fun packed, family holidays in the sun or the Disneyland Paris breaks.
I have always loved travelling and enjoy finding a holiday that will suit all my clients' requirements, it is very rewarding when they call in when they return home to tell us all about it, and to know that they enjoyed the holiday I found for them.
My favourite holiday destination is Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands. It has a warm climate all year round but also fabulous beaches, restaurants and nightlife.
Good restaurants are an essential part of any holiday I take!!
The year round warm climate of this resort makes it ideal for a winter break as well as a hot summer beach holiday with sandy beaches.
The local bus service is very good and cheap, if you don't want to hire a car you can visit all the resort easily, and the bus drivers are very helpful. Try a trip to the capital of Las Palmas for fantastic shopping, and the local weekly markets.
The sand dunes of Maspalomas have been the scene of many a Western film, but they can get VERY hot!
Parts of the island can be hilly so my tip would be to check your hotel if you have any walking difficulty.
My best memory of Gran Canaria is the eating steaks in San Miguels restaurant. FANTASTIC.
My family love this place, me included, and have been on several occasions so I have several tips that might make your holiday more enjoyable. Like the fact that some hotels have indoor pools and are better for young families.
The best time to book is at the Themed times of year like Easter, Bonfire Night and of course Christmas. However Halloween celebrations can be very frightening for young children
When you book your holiday make sure you book your resort transfers asprivate taxis can be expensive, also book a past pass to avoid queuing for the most popular rides. Restaurants can also get very busy so prebook these as well on arrival. Children of all ages love meeting the characters and they usually turn up at the hotels in the mornings.
If shopping is your thing use the shopper service which will deliver all your purchases to your hotel reception, so you don't have to carry them around the park.
My best memory is of the parades and fireworks at the end of the day, and the snow in Main Street at Christmas. MAGIC!
I travelled to Egypt with my husband and think that this would be an ideal honeymoon destination. Even though the flight time is quite short the weather is excellent and can be very hot. Egypt has a very high standard of accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere. We visited Egypt in September and the temperatures averaged 40 to 45 degrees, I would advise against travelling July to September with young children as it would be too hot.
A lot of the activities in resort are hotel based but you can book a lot of excursions with your company rep. Diving is a must and you don't have to be the most confident of swimmers to see the lush coral and sea life as you can just go onto a jetty and into shallow waters. A lot of hotels have their own beaches but there is a large beach in Naama Bay. I would recommend this resort as Egypt is an up and coming holiday resort, suitable for everyone.
I only visited Rome on a day trip off a cruise ship. Luckily we went in October so the weather was lovely but not too hot.
There is a lot of walking to see all the sights that Rome has to offer and could cause a problem for someone with walking difficulties.
The buildings are fabulous and a visit to the Vatican City is a must but all the famous landmarks are spread out and I would like to go back when I had more time.
I really enjoyed my holiday in Puerto del Carmen and would go back there. It has an excellent stretch of beach lined with many shops, bars and restaurants. Some resorts in Lanzarote can be hilly so you need to check before you book.
Lanzarote has fantastic scenery, you can book excursions or the local bus service is excellent and reasonable. It has a great water park and animal park with shows and BBQ nights.
The flight time of 2 hours makes the beautiful island of Majorca easy to reach for all ages. The lovely beaches and scenery combined with more lively resorts make it a holiday destination to suit everyone.
The resorts of Alcudia, Cala'n Do'r and C'an Picafort are best suited to families. Couples seeking a relaxing, lazy holiday should head for Cala Bona, Palma Nova and Sa Coma. However the resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova offer more night life.
A visit to the capital of Palma with its fabulous shops is a must and you can't miss the fantastic cathedral in a medieval setting.
Ibiza
I have travelled to Ibiza on two very different holidays. My first trip was on a family holiday. We stayed in Playa den Bossa and it is a must for families. There are a lot of excursions from here. The water Park is a good day out but I would recommend going early to avoid the queues, and to go on the most popular rides first.
In the evenings there are fab family pubs and restaurants with plenty of activities and shows to keep the children amused.
On my second trip I stayed in San Antonio Bay, which is a quiet resort within easy reach of the town which is very busy between the months of May to September.
My top tip, if you are going on a clubbing holiday is to purchase your club passes in advance from one of the many ticket booths situated in the bars around the town. Some of these include entry to the clubs and transport within the price. Also head for Cafe del Mar in San Antonio town around 5 p.m. to watch the spectacular sunset. Arrive early to get a seat !
Benmidorm is famous for it's huge sandy beach lined with a promenade full of shops, bars and restaurants. Backed by mountains on one side and the Mediterranean on the other the climate is perfect all year round. It is perfect for those who want a long winter break away from the British weather.
Benidorm comprises of two area Poniente and Levante both are very busy with bustling markets every week. Ideal for a winter break to stock up on Christmas presents.
Or visit the old town to sample the old bars and tapas restaurants or just to enjoy the old buildings.
