Office: Porthcawl 01656 773377I have worked in Regal travel for four years, since leaving school.
The job of finding the right holiday for people is challenging but also interesting and I love chatting to clients when they return, to find out what they thought of their holiday. This gives me a lot of feedback to pass on to other clients. Actually I just enjoy chatting.
Visiting different countries is exciting whether it is as an educational part of my job, or just for pleasure and I look forward to many, varied trips in the future, so watch this space.
In Florida there are many hotels that make it easy to get to Disney and Universal. We stayed in one and visited most of the parks so I know which ones are worth a visit. On my second visit to Florida we did a two centre holiday and spent one week in Orlanda, visiting the parks and one week on the Gulf Coast. There are some lovely resorts here where you can relax and unwind after the Disney parks. Best tip would be to buy your park passes before you go, one thing less to worry about before you hit the parks, and don't forget your dollars for the shopping malls. My most memorable moment, sounds childish, but it was actually seeing the Magic Kingdom castle! It was like looking at a picture.
I went to Zante in 2007 and I loved it. This was my first trip to Greece but it certainly wont be my last! We stayed in the resort of Kalamaki which was lovely. It is a quiet resort but has a lovely mixture of bars and restaurants. It is only a 5 minute ride away from Lagana if you are looking for a busier night. My top tip for Zante is to go on the Smugglers Cove boat trip – one of Zantes' main attractions. It is absolutely stunning, and a lovely day out. You can take a shopping trip to Zante town where there are plenty of shops and a nice harbour. Zante is also renowned for the loggerhead turtles that lay their eggs on the beach at night and there are many excursions available to see the turtles.
I've been to Cyprus twice and would go back tomorrow! I stayed in Ayia Napa which I thought was fab. Many people think that this resort is noisy and just for the young and lively but in fact there is something for all ages. There is the Square where all the nightclubs and bars are but this is set back away from most of the hotels. There is a lovely harbour area where there are some quieter bars with karaoke / entertainment / child friendly. The beaches in Cyprus are stunning, Nissi beach has to be the nicest I've ever seen. My first trip to Cyprus was when my cousin got married in the Town Hall and had some gorgeous photos taken in the old monastery. I would recommend you take a boat trip, there are many available. We went on the one that takes you to the old ghost town of Famagusta. It is fantastic to see how the town was left and the story of how it was deserted when Turkey invaded is fascinating.
I have been to Turkey twice and stayed in Marmaris and Olu Deniz. Marmaris is very busy and has a small beach, but there are lots of shops and bazaars where you can haggle for a bargain. Olu Deniz is quieter, very pretty and has a stunning blue lagoon and would be better suited for a quieter more relaxing holiday. Take an excursion to a Turkish baths as this is a lot of fun and a Turkish experience not to be missed
I stayed in Puerto del Carmen with my family. This is the busiest resort on the island but is suitable for families. There are quieter resorts if you prefer something more laid back. Lanzarote is quite a small island but it has fantastic scenery and it is very easy to get around. Try the local bus service which is very reasonable. Visit the local markets or grab a bargain in the shops. Take the opportunity to visit Fuerteventura on a boat trip for the day.
I visited the beautiful Greek island of Crete in Summer 2008. Crete is a big island so has a variety of resorts to suit all tastes, from busy nightlife to traditional Greek resorts.
We stayed in the resort of Stalis, which to us was ideal. The resort was full of restaurants and bars which were ideal for family holidays.
The good thing about Stalis is that all the shops, bars, resaturants and most of the hotels, are all located on 'Beach Road' which runs parallel with the beach - so you never have to walk far, and it is very flat.
Stalis is in walking distance of Malia, which is famous for it's busy nightlife, and is also only a 5/10 minute bus ride fro neighbouring Hersonissos which has a beautiful harbour and ideal for those looking for lots of stylish shops.
Whilst I was in Crete I took a boat trip to the small resort of Sissi. This would be ideal for those looking for a traditional Greek resort.
So if you're thinking of Crete and don't know which area would suit you best then give me a ring and I will be happy to help you!
